Year 6 Trip to The Ulster Museum Belfast
4th February 2020
Year 6 had a fantastic day out at the Ulster Museum today. The children have been studying 'The Vikings' and were able to view viking jewelry, weaponry , chain mail, pots, utensils and tombstones first hand.
After recent media attention, the children enjoyed learning about the mummy, 'Takabuti' and exploring the 'Ancient Egyptian' display. The children also learnt about the people who lived in Prehistoric Ireland and how they lived during The Stone Age and Bronze Age.
Year 6 learnt some amazing facts about our planet and animal life in the 'Nature Zone' and, the budding artists among us, got the opportunity to view a few of the numerous Art Galleries. There was even time for an art lesson and some dressing up!
Enjoy the pictures.
