The Primary 4 pupils from the Leaney Primary School joined us today for our 3rd Shared Education session. The mornings spent together are planned to include a STEM experiment and another activity based on drama, music or ICT.
We certainly had an ‘egg-cellent’ day learning about gravity and today’s challenge was to build a container that could protect an egg from breaking when dropped from a height. Working together in mixed groups of 6 the children created fantastic designs using the materials provided and each one was tested by Miss Mc Alister. Many of the eggs survived proving how effective the teamwork really was.
The other half of the session was spent with Miss Kane dramatizing our popular Fairytale stories and playing games such as ‘Ship-Shore.’ A fantastic morning was had by all.
We are very much looking forward to continuing our shared learning experiences after Christmas.
