Year 2 Visit the Optician

On Tuesday 10th October, Primary 2 had a wonderful morning out gallivanting up the street to spot Odd and Even numbers. We paired up and headed off with our clipboards and pencil at the ready to hunt for and sort numbers in our local environment. We spotted lots of numbers in the Tesco area as well as up Main Street where we realised there was an ‘Odd’ streetside and an ‘Even’ streetside.
On the way back to school, we had a little ‘sneak-peak’ into the daily life of an Optometrist as we stopped off in J.E Adams Opticians. We got to see all the different lenses they would use as well as the equipment that is utilised to test peoples’ eyesight. We were allowed to sit on the special chair and have a go at reading the tricky letters. We had a look around at the wide assortment of different styled glasses. Thank you to J.E.
