‘Twinkle Twinkle’- Night Time Workers Visit
Year 2 welcomed a nurse from The Causeway Hospital to our class. Laura shared lots of information about her job and looking after patients both day and night. After interviewing Laura, we had a ‘night time workers’ themed play where we got to ‘Pin the Plaster’ on the heart, have a go at a ‘monster operation’, have a bandaging race, construct and design our very own hospital, explore the small world Fire Station and Police Station as well as get creative at the drawing and writing table where we discussed the role of paramedics, firefighters and all those workplaces who require workers 24/7. We even got to use the stethoscope and hear our hearts racing with the excitement!
