Year 2 Receive a Visit from the Nurse
21st October 2019
Our Familiar Visitor
On Thursday we had the pleasure of welcoming Alfie’s mummy to our class. Gemma is a hardworking nurse who kindly came into visit us to tell us all about her job.
We learned about lots of different equipment that Gemma would use in order to care for people (young and old). We had great fun listening to fabulous facts about our bodies too and even got to carry out an interview with questions we came up with as a class.
Gemma stayed to play with us until break time and we had great fun together at the role play hospital where we took on a role of a doctor, nurse or patient, the playdough area where we created lots of body parts including our heart and lungs as well as the construction area, small world hospital, dressing up box and various other activities and we all just loved having Gemma to share in our learning!
We were so lucky to get Gemma into our class and Alfie was just so excited about Thursday morning arriving all week! It was so interesting listening to Gemma and we really appreciate this valuable experience!
