World Book Day Fun
10th March 2019
In St Brigid’s, we celebrated World Book Day 2019 in a variety of ways.
Primary One and two went on a book hunt where they had to find and match book covers in the school library. Primary 3, 4 and Class A had a treasure hunt where they solved book-themed clues which led them to hidden letters around the school.
In Class B and Primary 5, the children used iPads to play interactive Boggle and Countdown games; challenging each other to build the longest words.
In Primary 6, the pupils played Scr’AR’bble, using our school AR library books to win points for connecting book authors on a scrabble board.
“Bananagrams” was a hit in Primary 7 this year! The pupils scrambled to arrange their letter tiles into a grid of connected words faster than their opponent.
