World Book Day Celebrations in St Brigid's

In school, World Book Day was celebrated on Wednesday 28th February. Foundation and Key Stage one pupils were entertained by some volunteer parents who kindly came into school for reading sessions in the hall and to work with small groups of pupils.
In the afternoon, KS2 pupils led workshops for the younger pupils which involved puppet shows, drama productions, songs, Big book stories and presentations using the IPads. Many of the presentations were enhanced by the children’s own home made props!
The Travelling Book Fair was also in school during our World Book Day Celebrations and was very well supported by parents and pupils. Commission from the book sale helps us to purchase new resources for our school and we look forward to letting you know about our purchases in the future. As always, we appreciate and thank you for your support and commitment to school initiatives.
