Get set… we’re taking part in The Big Pedal 2017!

Remember -

On each day of the challenge schools compete to see who can record the greatest number of pupils, staff and parents cycling or scooting to school. Our best 5 days will determine our final position in the challenge. We’ll be competing against other schools right across the UK, and if we clock up the most bike and scooter journeys we’ll win!

We will also award a prize to the best class on each day of the competition, so make sure you play your part!

Why we’re taking part

It’s a great way to get more of our pupils travelling to school on their bikes and scooters. We did extremely well last year, but we think if we make a really strong start to this year’s Big Pedal, we can do even better!

St Brigid’s Big Pedal Dates:

Tuesday 21st and Wednesday 22nd March

and Week beginning 27th March (every day this week)

Dr Bike Day

On Monday 27th March Johnny McCrystal, our Sustrans Officer, will be in school to perform safety checks and minor repairs on the children’s bikes – an added incentive to cycle to school that day!
