St. Brigid’s Girls Do The Double!

The girls were on fire today, racking up an impressive 17 goals in the group stage to top the group and earning a spot in the semi-final against a strong, well-improved St.Malachy’s team. This proved to be an exciting challenge and we came out with a 2-0 victory. This set up a nail-biting final against Macosquin, who had performed brilliantly throughout. Each and every one of our girls stepped up their game as we took a 2-0 lead into the second half. Macosquin pulled one score back to make for a tense but exhilarating last couple of minutes of the final game of the tournament. Our shooters were on form, our defence was solid and our mid-field linked up brilliantly - those 2 goals secured a victory. What an amazing performance by all the girls. Well done Ruby, Maggie, Caelagh, Marnie, Lucie, Shania, Ailsa and Mia. We’re so proud of you all. Go St.Brigid’s!!!!!!
