Pupil Council Elections 2017
29th September 2017
St. Brigid's P.S transformed into a polling station for the day as the children from P4-7 voted their class representatives onto our school council. We witnessed convincing canvassing and listened to moving manifestos as our own polling station was declared open. The children took on official roles throughout the morning. These included collecting classes for voting, identification checkers, counting office security, polling station directors, ballot box handlers and, of course, the all important counters of the vote. The children not only experienced a morning of fun and co-operation, they learned much about the democratic process of voting, encouraging every voice to be heard.
Congratulations to the successful candidates who will undoubtedly represent the thoughts, opinions and exciting new ideas of all their peers which will enhance the school experience in St. Brigid's for everyone.
