Pupil Council
16th October 2015
Congratulations to our Pupil Councillors who were elected to represent their classes for the 2015-16 school year.
Getting voted a pupil councillor is a huge achievement. Councillors have to work on a manifesto, take part in class debates, seek nominations from their peers, produce election literature and appeal to the voters.
Election Day is a special day in school and we use polling booths and ballot boxes supplied by the Electoral Office as well as returning officers and ID. It's the real thing.
Our councillors make a positive contribution to the school and in the last term they were involved in the design of the building refurbishment, a review of behaviour in the school as well as revising the school's reward system.
The children have a voice and we listen to it in St. Brigid’s.
