NI Hockey Finals Here We Come!!

A huge congratulations to our girls’ hockey team who qualified for a much coveted place in the NI Primary Schools Hockey Finals on 19th April at Stormont.
The girls were outstanding. They played with determination, drive and commitment to every pass, every challenge and every shot. They played superbly as a team, supporting and encouraging each other brilliantly to top our group with four wins and no goals conceded. This set up a challenging semi-final against Macosquin. We rallied hard and fired the ball to the back of the Macosquin goal to win 1-0, securing our visit to Stormont on finals day.
The Millstrand girls were our opposition in the final of the qualifiers. The game proved to be an exciting, tense match, end to end, with well executed shots and goals disallowed, and although the result did not go our way, a tight 1-0 defeat, our girls were ecstatic, celebrating together with the Coleraine girls and their coach on our joint success.
Well done Ailsa, Macy, Lucie, Lucia H, Lucia K, Charley, Iris and Michaela - our St. Brigid’s girls’ hockey team on winning a well-deserved place in the NI Hockey finals in Belfast.
