Celebration of Sport in JDLC

What an amazing day our Y6&7s had on Friday, alongside many other local school children, taking part in a huge array of sports including:

Golf
Hockey
Hurling
Canoeing
Volleyball
Cricket
Wheelchair basketball
Scooting
Climbing wall
American football
Rugby
Archery

The children loved the opportunity to try out many new sports as well as practising skills in sports they already have had the opportunity to play.

The weather was kind to us and the children thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated all the indoor and outdoor sports they experienced on the day, arranged by the Department for Communities and Causeway Coast and Glen Borough Council. Many thanks to all the organisers and to Joey Dunlop Leisure Centre for hosting. It was an excellent day.
