Camogie Blitz 2022

The Primary 7 camogs were shining stars at this year’s Primary School Camogie Blitz, hosted by Loughguile Shamrock’s, enjoying a brilliant victory in the Plate Final. The day kicked off with seven tough group stage matches against very impressive competition. The girls did well to win two of these matches, making it through to the Plate semi-final, where they were up against a tight St Brigid’s Cloughmills team. The team rose to the challenge scoring three consecutive goals, securing their place in the final!
The final was to be their toughest match yet. The opposition was a very skilful St Joseph’s outfit from Dunloy, and they were neck and neck throughout the entirety of match. The battle continued on until the final whistle when both teams were announced joint Plate winners! Tired, but proud of their performance, the girls enjoyed getting their photos taken together and admiring their trophy.
Well done to all nine of the camogs who participated today. They have made the whole school proud!
