On Friday 12 May 2017 St Brigid’s hurling team took part in the North Antrim hurling blitz in Dunloy. The day was a great success.  A strong side went out to Dunloy and played a series of 7 matches.  The boys started strongly with wins over St John’s Carnlough  and Ballycastle Integrated.  The boys were very unlucky to lose the next two games against St Brigid’s Cloughmills and Glenann PS despite playing really well.  The game against Glenann (eventual winners) was only settled with a last gasp winner from Glenann.  The team then had 3 more wins against St Olcan’s Armoy, St Anne’s Corkey and St Ciaran’s Cushendun.  The boys played very well with great commitment and were a credit to our school.  St Brigid’s squad: Matthew Carroll, Lewis Nevin, Conan Scullion, Reece Wallace, Ben Moore, Niall Harmer, Conor McGarry, Conor Leonard and Michael Campbell.
