North Antrim Cumann na mBunscol Gaelic Football competition

Our Gaelic footballers took to Fr Healy Park in Loughgiel on Friday for the North Antrim Cumann na mBunscol Gaelic Football competition.
Both teams performed brilliantly in the group stages, with their victories earning them a place in the cup competition.
The girls’ team faced Loughgiel in their semi-final. Although this tie ended in a draw in the group stages, the Loughgiel girls did just enough to win this one.
The boys’ team also faced Loughgiel in their semi-final, and while they had got the better of us in the group game earlier in the day, our boys had grown in confidence and played out of their skins. Unfortunately, despite our boys leading for most of the match, our opponents got two late scores at the death to clinch the win. Loughgiel went on to win both cup competitions – congratulations to them.
Well done to: Niamh, Sophia, Cassie, Nellie, Brooklyn, Grace T, Grace R, Alan, Jacob, Seaán, Braden, Oliver, Yvan, Milo, and Owen. Both teams showed tremendous team spirit, skill and determination in their play and they can all be very proud of their performance.
