NI Boys' Hockey Qualifiers

After the girls’ great performance yesterday, our boys were determined to go a step further at today’s NI Hockey Qualifiers in Coleraine.
Winning every game in our group, we proceeded to the semi-final. With confidence growing in every game, we claimed victory with a superb performance against DH Christie. Our opponents in the final were Portrush, who had come through a nail-biting semi-final, beating Millburn in penalty runs. The two sides were evenly matched until St Brigid’s broke through for the first goal, which gave us the momentum to carry on and run out deserving winners.
We now advance to the Northern Ireland Finals in Stormont on April 20th. A fantastic achievement for our boys and for our school and we are very proud of them. Many thanks to Brian for his coaching and support.
