Killowen Cup 2026

Our 7 a-side football team travelled to Coleraine to take part in the annual Killowen Cup, aiming to better last year’s achievement of runners up in the Shield competition.
We got off to a rocky start losing to a strong Millburn team, but as the matches came and the tournament got into full swing our boys had certainly warmed up and proved what a skilful and determined team they are, winning the next two of our games against good opposition in Macosquin and St. Columb’s.
Our fate rested on the result of the last game of the tournament and, deservedly, our boys finished in second place in the group, missing out on a place in the Cup by only two of a goal difference.
This second-place finish earned us a place in the Killowen Shield later in the week, and the boys and Justin were utterly delighted and proud of the performances they put in.
Congratulations to the boys and to our coach Justin, and Davy for his weekly training with the team.
