Cross Country Success!

A great day for St Brigid’s today as we returned to the Flahavan’s Cross Country League at the Ulster University, Coleraine. We had 18 athletes representing the school, all of whom completed the course and competed brilliantly.

The girls, who were all competing in cross country for the very first time, finished a very strong 7^th place – great running girls.

The boys, who had to pick themselves up after a pile-up at the very beginning of the race, recovered heroically to clinch 3^rd place overall - and a place in the Northern Ireland Finals!

A huge well done also to our 3^rd place finisher in the individual race.

We are extremely proud of our athletes today – it was a tough run and they showed great character and determination. Now, let the training for the finals commence!
