Boys' Hockey Qualifiers

A huge ‘well done’ to our boys’ hockey team who completed gallantly in the Ulster Hockey Primary Schools NI Qualifiers yesterday in Coleraine.
It was a crisp but dry morning, perfect conditions for a display of excellent skill and drive from our boys. We qualified for the quarter finals as joint top of group, setting up a clash with a strong, talented Millstrand team. Our boys were amazing. They attacked with determination, defended with sheer grit and displayed tremendous skill, slicing through the centre of the pitch to hit the back of the opposing net and secure a semi-final spot against Portrush.
This was an end to end, tough, exciting game and although Portrush came out 2-1 victors, our boys can be very proud of the commitment they displayed to go so far in the competition.
Well done to Eoin, Caiden, Liam C, Sam, Liam Mc, Pele. Aidan, Alfie and Daniel – St. Brigid’s boys’ hockey team!
