All County Finals
11th June 2025

On Monday St Brigid’s Girls’ Gaelic Football team lined out in the All County Finals for the first time ever.
Having qualified as North Antrim champions the previous week, they faced the champions of the other two regions in the county; St Mary’s, Portglenone and St Anne’s, Belfast, in a three-way final.
First up were St Mary’s. This was a tough match, with the Portglenone girls coming out on top, although our girls battled hard until the final whistle. Our next and final game was against St Anne’s, and this was a much tighter affair. Our girls found their rhythm and produced some excellent passages of play all over the pitch, resulting in three fine goals. St Anne’s came away with the points, however, winning by a narrow margin. Congratulations to St Mary’s who were crowned county champions, having won both their games on the day.
Thank you to Cumann na mBunscol Aontroma and to St Louis, Ballymena for a great day. We hope it’s the first of many appearances to come for us in this competition. Our girls were a credit to their school and families and were fully deserving of their treat on the way home!
Enjoy the wonderful photos! There are lots more shots of our girls in action on Bert Trowlen’s Facebook page. Thank you Bert!
